腾讯体育APPFrom the stately London Planes of the Bosque to the graceful Willow Oaks of the Woodland, The Battery is home to 568 trees of 20 diverse species. These trees provide nourishment and shelter to wildlife, reduce stormwater runoff, and improve air quality.

Your tax-deductible gift supports the care of a tree and its surrounding landscape, free of synthetic pesticides. You will be invited to a ceremonial dedication, receive a certificate and map identifying your tree in the park, and the Conservancy will recognize you on its annual donor roll.

A Heritage Tree - Gift of $25,000

A Woodland Native Tree - Gift of $15,000

腾讯体育APPThe Woodland is a beautiful four-acre lawn shaded by some of the oldest trees in Lower Manhattan. Many of these mature trees are native to the Northeast, including Pin Oak (Quercus palustris), Willow Oak (Quercus phellos), Red Oak (Quercus rubra), and Sweet Gum (Liquidambar styraciflua).

A Bosque Tree - Gift of $10,000

The Bosque, a Spanish word for a grove of trees, is composed of over 100 London Planes (Platanus ×acerifolia) that shade beautiful perennial gardens. The variegated texture of their iconic bark provides a painterly backdrop for the Bosque Gardens.

Peter Minuit Plaza Tree - Gift of $7,500

腾讯体育APPThe 32 Kentucky Coffee trees (Gymnocladus dioicus) planted in Peter Minuit Plaza offer beauty to the millions who commute through this bustling transportation hub every day.

Bikeway Tree - Gift of $5,000

The newly planted Battery Bikeway features some of the youngest trees in the park. In supporting a bikeway tree, you can watch your tree grow. This diverse population of native trees includes Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera), Pin Oak (Quercus palustris), Sweet Gum (Liquidambar styraciflua), Red Oak (Quercus rubra), Sassafras (Sassafras Albidum), and Scarlet Oak (Quercus coccinea).

The Battery Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) educational not–for–profit organization, created in 1994 to design, build, maintain, and enliven the historic Battery, the 25-acre public park at the southern tip of Manhattan. The Battery Conservancy’s EIN number is 13-3769101. All donations are tax-deductible as permitted under federal tax law.
